Sawdust and Wood Chip Dust Silos – Efficient and Safe Biomass Storage

The silo is designed for storing sawdust and wood chip dust in open spaces. Thanks to its external hopper and leg-mounted structure, it enables complete emptying of the tank, eliminating the risk of material rotting or freezing.

It consists of a roof with a cyclone, hopper shell, supporting structure, and a sweeper that prevents dust from hanging inside. The silo size is selected individually according to the plant’s requirements.

For safety, we install certified explosion relief panels (ATEX), fire suppression risers, inspection doors, platforms, and ladders. Optionally, the silo can be equipped with screw conveyors, redlers, cyclones, filters, and a spark extinguishing system – particularly important for pneumatic transport.

Advanced sensors detect hot objects emitting infrared radiation, increasing the level of protection.
