A small woodworking shop, carpentry workshop, or vocational school has the same obligations regarding dust filtration as large industrial facilities. The only differences are scale and budget. Wood dust is hazardous regardless of the number of machines, and occupational exposure limits do not vary according to company size. The need for dust extraction is real, while available space and budget are often limited. TOPAZ mini was developed specifically for this situation.
The TOPAZ mini bag filter is a compact indoor dust extraction unit designed for workshops and production halls with an area of 50–300 m², operating one to several woodworking machines simultaneously. Quiet operation, simple maintenance, and serviceability without specialist tools make it particularly suitable for facilities without dedicated maintenance personnel.
Small woodworking workshops often operate in buildings with ceiling heights of 3–4 m, without sufficient space for an external filtration unit or large-diameter ductwork. TOPAZ mini is designed for indoor installation and operation, eliminating the need for exhaust ductwork leading outside the building. Cleaned air can be returned to the workshop, provided that the appropriate filtration class is used, thereby minimizing heat losses.
In a small workshop, employees spend the entire working day in close proximity to machinery. Industrial dust collectors generating noise levels above 80 dB(A) require hearing protection throughout the shift. TOPAZ mini is designed for quiet operation and complies with permissible noise limits under typical working conditions without requiring additional hearing protection.
Filter bag replacement, cleaning of the filtration chamber, and checking the differential pressure gauge can all be carried out by workshop personnel without specialist service training. Operating instructions are available in Polish, while spare parts are stocked by NAWARA in Poland and are typically available for next-day delivery.
We will select a solution tailored to the system's specifications, operating conditions, and technical requirements.
Contact UsTOPAZ mini is available in three performance versions tailored to the number of connected machines and production requirements:
| Model | Airflow Capacity (m³/h) | Connection (Fi) | Regeneration | Filter area | Fan Power |
| TOPAZ mini 1 | 2 200 | 10 | 180 | 2,2 m² | elektrowibrator |
| TOPAZ mini 2 | 4 400 | 20 | 200 | 4 m² | elektrowibrator |
| TOPAZ mini 3 | 6 200 | 30 | 250 | 7,5 m² | elektrowibrator |
TOPAZ mini 1 is designed for the smallest workshops and individual workstations. TOPAZ mini 2 is suitable for workshops operating several machines simultaneously. TOPAZ mini 3 is intended for more demanding applications requiring extraction capacities up to 6,200 m³/h.
Standard polyester filter bags provide efficient filtration of wood dust. Higher-efficiency filter bags are available as an option for MDF, worktops, and laminated board processing. Under normal operating conditions, filter bag service life ranges from 8 to 12 years. Replacement bags are available directly from NAWARA stock.
All TOPAZ mini models are equipped with an electrovibrator cleaning system. This provides effective cleaning of the filtration surface without interrupting system operation. Regular regeneration extends filter bag life and maintains consistent extraction performance throughout the entire service life of the filter.
TOPAZ mini can operate in recirculation mode, where cleaned air is returned to the workshop rather than discharged outdoors. This eliminates heat losses and simplifies installation by removing the need for external ductwork.
TOPAZ mini is manufactured in Poland by NAWARA. It is not a rebranded imported product but a dust extraction unit designed by Polish engineers, built using Polish and European components, and serviced by Polish technicians.
For small businesses, this means no language barriers during warranty claims, spare-part delivery within 24 hours, and access to local service support without the need to coordinate assistance from abroad. TOPAZ mini warranty: 24 months from commissioning.
Can TOPAZ mini be connected to several machines simultaneously?
Yes. TOPAZ mini 2 and TOPAZ mini 3 are designed to serve multiple machines through a shared ductwork network. NAWARA selects duct diameters and the number of connection points based on the machine list and their nominal extraction requirements. It is important that the combined airflow demand does not exceed the nominal extraction capacity of the unit when all machines are operating simultaneously: 4,400 m³/h for TOPAZ mini 2 and 6,200 m³/h for TOPAZ mini 3.
How often should filter bags be replaced in TOPAZ mini?
Under typical operating conditions in a small woodworking workshop (single-shift operation, softwood processing), filter bags have a service life of 8 to 12 years. The indicator for replacement is an increase in airflow resistance shown by the differential pressure gauge. When the indicator exceeds the limit marked on the scale, the filter bags require replacement or intensive cleaning. NAWARA supplies replacement filter bags from its warehouse in Poland.
Does TOPAZ mini comply with ATEX requirements for small woodworking facilities?
The standard TOPAZ mini is not ATEX-certified and is intended for use outside potentially explosive atmospheres. For woodworking facilities where an explosion risk assessment identifies Zone 21 or Zone 22, NAWARA offers mobile ATEX filters or fixed filtration systems in Ex-rated versions. If there is uncertainty regarding the need for ATEX compliance, an explosion risk assessment should be performed, and NAWARA can assist in this process.
